Have you ever felt just far too motivated? “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines discussed a brand new business idea in a hilarious clip they shared on Instagram. It’s from a new episode of the couple’s Magnolia Network program on Discovery+, “Fixer Upper: Welcome Home.”
‘Demotivational Speakers’
Joanna has her blueprint in front of her and tells Chip she needs her materials budget soon. Suddenly, she mutters out, “Let’s do seminars where we talk people out of it.”
Chip grins widely and mischievously adding, “We would be good at that.”
For a moment, Joana is ready to get on board with an all-new career. Instead of being a designer, she says, “We could be the demotivational speakers.” She shared the video with the caption, “Sign up for our ‘demotivational seminar’—today only!!! #justkidding.”
She may just be kidding, but “Fixer Upper” fans were quick to comment that maybe it isn’t a terrible idea after all. One person commented, “I honestly think I could use some demotivation some times… I take on too many projects at once!”
Meanwhile, another commenter was a huge fan of the sound editing in the hilarious clip. They wrote, “It’s the hit the road Jack music that makes this even funnier.”

‘Fixer Upper’ Stars Donate to Middle School
The couple may have joked about sending some demotivational advice into the world, but their actions speak louder than their joking words.
The “Fixer Upper” stars were quick to swoop in and help during a devastating time.
According to People, Chip and Joanna Gaines helped raise money for G.W. Carver Middle School after it burned down from a tragic fire. They did so with the help of their restaurant, Magnolia Table.
On July 27, the middle school had an early morning fire that destroyed the library, gym, front offices, and many classrooms. As a result, students will have to attend different schools in the area at the start of this school year.
“Waco has already come together to help, so we want to join their efforts and get this school community back on its feet. Visit us at Magnolia Table, mention G.W. Carver Middle at checkout, and 100% of your total will go to the G.W. Carver Disaster Relief Fund up to $15,000 total,” Joanna Gaines shared on her Instagram Stories.
Chip and Joanna Gaines live in Waco, Texas with their five children. They have also put substantial work into making the city stronger and making it a place where more people want to gravitate toward over the last decade or so.
