The former co-host of The View Meghan McCain took to her Instagram on Saturday night to discuss a special date that she will always remember – the date she first got together with her husband, Ben Domenech.
“We realized today we’re almost at 7 years together,” The View co-host gushes in the post, which features a snapshot of her and Ben smiling. “I love you so much Ben and I love how we continue to evolve together.”
McCain then explains how marriage is “never boring or predictable.” She thanks Ben for their beautiful life together as well as their “spectacular, brilliant daughter.” She goes on to add, “And for always watching all the DC Sunday news shows with me – even though you hate Meet the Press.”
The View co-host and her hubby in 2014 and apparently clicked fast. In a 2019 interview on The Ben Shapiro Show, Meghan reflected on their first date. “
“When we went out the first time, I was like, this is a totally different vibe,” she recalls. Meghan says conservative men have better family values and take dating, as well as family and marriage more seriously. “I think if you’re serious, which I was when I met [Ben], about getting married and having kids and wanting to go to the next phase.”
The couple got married in 2017 and their first child, Liberty, was born in late 2020.
Meghan McCain Talks Time With Husband During Quarantine
During a 2020 episode on The View, Meghan McCain discusses how quarantine was like with her husband. “Being in quarantine with your husband or significant other or being in quarantine with anyone. At least for me, has been like marriage on acid,” the co-host states. Meghan explains that the couple is spending 24-7 with each other. While she knew things about her husband, it was still like everything was “heightened to like, the tenth degree” for her.
The View co-host then praises Ben for being someone she wants to talk about the news all the time with. “I’m always in what he wants to say,” Meghan states.
Meghan McCain Recently Announces Her Departure From ABC’s ‘The View’
Meghan McCain recently announced she was leaving ABC’s The View at the end of the month. McCain joined the all-women panel in 2017 as a conservative co-host. She has been known for her outspoken personality when it comes to her beliefs.
“I am just going to rip the Band-Aid off,” Meghan declares in the July 1st episode. She then states that Season 24 of The View is her official last season. “Covid has changed the world for all of us and it changed the way, for me, the way I am looking at life.”
Meghan then says she is leaving The View, which is taped in New York City, so she can remain in Washington D.C. with Ben and Liberty. “I just have this really wonderful life here that ultimately I felt like I didn’t want to leave,” she explains. She also describes the show as one of the “hands-down greatest, more exhilarating, wonderful privileges” of her entire life.
