The Gary Sinise Foundation is hosting a virtual Snowball Express event on Monday. The idea is to get 750 families of fallen service members together.

Before the pandemic hit, the original Snowball Express would fly military families to Disney World. It also gifted participants with videos of thanks and appreciation from many different celebrities. Some even gave their messages as characters from productions like Toy Story.

How Gary Sinise’s Snowball Express Event Will Look This Year

This year, the event includes special notes from famous stars. The celebrities include Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Steve Buscemi, Matthew McConaughey, Kristen Bell, Simone Biles, Caeleb Dressel, Dean Cain, Gary LeVox, Mike Rowe and a host of others.

Here is the video from this year’s virtual Snowball Express. It is a week to remember!

In addition to celebrity messages, the children and attendees get to experience a lot of virtual activities.

For example, Penn & Teller will make an appearance, a look to an animal sanctuary from Bindi and Robert Irwin, popular TikTok dances from Cost n’ Mayor, yo-yo lessons from Gentry Stein, a slime class with Ricky Waite, a chat with U.S. Space Force major Travis Tubbs, Disney animation, cooking lessons, and a Question and Answer session with Sinise himself.

But wait there’s more!

There will also be a surprise performance from the one and only, Idina Menzel! You know the girl from Frozen with the world’s most powerful voice? Yeah, that one! She is singing Show Yourself from the second Frozen movie. This performance will also be with her band, so the audience gets the full experience!

In the past, the attendees got to participate in a Walk of Gratitude, Remembrance Garden, and would get to watch a special performance from the “Gary Sinise & The Lt. Dan Band.” They have done more than 500 concerts on military bases all over the world.

They are always willing to play children’s favorite Disney songs and classic hits.

When Did This Foundation Begin?

The Gary Sinise Foundation was founded in 2011 by actor, musician, and humanitarian Gary Sinise. He loves helping military families get through tough losses and encourages them to understand that they are heroes.

His vision for this organization is to always honor the U.S. military veterans and their families. He also honors the troops who fight for our country today.

Designing programs to entertain, educate, and build stronger communities is everything Sinise dreams of.
