Actress Geena Davis, who played a superstar catcher in “A League of Their Own,’ is pitching a new idea for a movie spinoff.

Further, Davis, 64, envisions the sequel will be about her son. She also says he’ll be a Major League Baseball player. In her concept of the movie, her original character, Dorothy “Dottie” Hinson, will have taught her son all her skills.

“I have an idea for a sequel. I’m trying to see if I can happen before I’m too old,” Davis told US Weekly this week. “It would be called Little League of Their Own. The woman that my character is based on in that movie, her son grew up to be a major-league ballplayer. I’m sure it was her that taught him how to play.”

The original movie, which was released in 1992, is about the love of family and friends with a heaping dose of female empowerment. Additionally, the movie starred Davis, Tom Hanks, Madonna, Rosie O’Donnell and Lori Petty. “

“There’s no crying in baseball,” is one of the most famous sports movie lines in history.

The movie was about the real-life All American Girls Professional Baseball League, which existed from 1943-54. Further, it was the first professional sports league for women.

In the fictionalized account of “A League of their Own,” female athletes, whose husbands were fighting in World War II, were recruited to play for four teams in the Midwest. Also, the movie centered around the team Rockford Peaches and focused on Dottie and her kid sister, Kit.

The movie made $132.4 million. In 2012, the movie was also added to the United States National Film Registry.

Two months ago, Amazon announced that it was rebooting the movie as a TV series. The show will be a reimagined version of the movie and also will explore issues of race and sexuality. Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson stars in the series.
