Blake Shelton is a very lucky man. First and foremost is that he is engaged to Gwen Stefani. That alone makes him a lucky guy. There are certainly a lot of other factors that explain why he is so lucky. Many of them have to do with the exceptionally talented singer he is going to marry.

In a world that is dominated by holidays and their importance, Gwen Stefani actually doesn’t care about them. Now, whether or not Blake Shelton feels the same way is a different story.

But, at the very least, if he forgets an anniversary or forgets to plan something till the last minute, he can find solace in the fact that his soon-to-be wife doesn’t hold much stock in those trivial things. That is a rare thing to find these days, especially when so much emphasis is placed on them.

Gwen Stefani had an interview with Variety recently. During this, she was asked about how she planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Don’t Speak.” Her response to the question was unexpected.

“I don’t really pay attention to that stuff,” Stefani bluntly stated. “I know some people live by it, birthdays and all that, but it’s just not something I care about.”

Gwen Stefani and No Doubt’s Biggest Hit “Don’t Speak”

Today, April 15, is an important day for Gwen Stefani, even if she doesn’t think so herself. It marks the anniversary of her band’s, No Doubt, first major hit song – “Don’t Speak.”

For Gwen Stefani, this song broke her career wide open. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard Top 40 in December of 1996. Even though she stayed with her band until 2004, her name became mainstream after the hit song. The song dramatically changed her life.

Even though she doesn’t put much stock into the song’s anniversary, it is many people’s first memory of her. So, it is only right that the rest of the world recognizes the anniversary of the song.

There will undoubtedly be many more special things down the road for Gwen Stefani. Perhaps she is saving herself for those future parties.

Maybe Blake will convince her that celebrating anniversaries and birthdays is a fun thing to do. But, for now, all there is to do is wait and see.
