It’s no big surprise that Gwen Stefani will be giving her three sons a large role in her wedding with Blake Shelton.

Gwen Stefani’s Kids and the Wedding

The singer’s boys are Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6. They all were from her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale.

According to People, a source close to Stefani reported that they “will have a large part” in the festivities.

“From the beginning, Gwen made it clear to Blake that her boys were No. 1 in her life. Blake always respected this. He never wanted to overstep and made sure everyone was comfortable with his role in her sons’ lives … Gwen’s sons are just really solid, sweet kids, and they’re so excited for Blake and Gwen to get married. They can’t wait to stand by their sides,” the source told People.

The two announced their engagement in October. While an official date is yet to come, the two appear to be enjoying their engagement.

The two bonded over their similar relationship situations when they first got together. Blake Shelton had been with Miranda Lambert for four years, while Gwen Stefani had been with Rossdale for 14 years.

Shelton’s Relationship with the Boys

The couple has been together since 2015. The seriousness of the impact he has had on the boys is not something that Shelton takes lightly. The boys, Shelton, and Gwen Stefani have all been on his ranch in Oklahoma during the pandemic.

He’s more than just their buddy, but he is also a really powerful role model. Especially for her youngest, Apollo, who has been with Shelton nearly all his life.

“That’s a scary moment for me because it’s one thing for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but you do have to consider after awhile that they start to listen to things that you say and there’s a lot of responsibility that comes with that,” Shelton said on the TODAY show.

While quarantine has helped them form a family figure, it is also a period of time that will stand out for all of them.

“But that doesn’t mean it’s always glamorous. And having to do our own laundry, having to cook … I mean all this stuff, clean toilets. And it was a lot, it was a lot of boys, a lot of dirt. But I know that I’m going to look back at it and I already look back at it like it was an amazing thing. It’s just trying to find the beauty in the moment and the good things that are coming out of it,” Gwen Stefani told People.

It’ll be interesting to see how the three boys will fit into the couple’s special day, especially since they are so close to the bride and the groom.
