Gwen Stefani Reveals the Only People She Wants at Her Wedding to Blake Shelton

Well, she did say she wanted a small wedding. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s wedding may be smaller than they initially planned.

Friends of Stefani who don’t receive an invite shouldn’t feel bad. Some of the singers’ family members may not be writing plus one come wedding time. Stefani revealed the only people she wants at her wedding currently are her parents.

The pandemic has made having a big celebration difficult even among just family members. Maybe Stefani and Shelton should do a wedding tour like Jon Pardi and his recent bride are planning. Stefani also doesn’t want to say, “I do” to forever while wearing a face mask.

“I would say I just want my parents there at this point,” Stefani told Ryan Seacrest. “Like my parents wouldn’t come to Thanksgiving because they’re so scared. I would really rather it not be a COVID situation. I would rather not have masks and that sort of thing. Even when you cut it down to just family, it’s still too many people for COVID. We’re sort of going to see what happens in the next few months.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Hear Wedding Bells

After five years of dating and plenty of rumors, Shelton finally popped the question in October. The couple has been all smiles ever since with Shelton professing his love publicly on more than one occasion. If they’re going to have a small wedding, it will at least be scenic if nothing else.

Recently, Shelton got his hands dirty building a chapel for the wedding himself. The couple plans to marry in the chapel on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. Who is all invited remains to be seen.

“Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help,” a source told Us Weekly. “It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year.”
