On Saturday, Gwen Stefani teased fans when she posted a throwback pic via Instagram.

In the picture, a younger Stefani rocks her signature platinum blonde hair color, but she’s wearing bangs in this photo. She’s also throwing up the classic rock ‘n’ roll salute (index finger up, middle fingers down, pinky up, thumb in) and a white tank top that reveals her midriff.

It’s obviously a nod to her No Doubt days, but what does it mean?

To add to the photo, she paired it with a cryptic caption, writing, “working on so much fun stuff for u guys.”

While fans haven’t gotten a new Stefani album since her 2017 Christmas record, we know they’re probably chomping at the bit to get their hands on new music.

Eager Fans Await Gwen Stefani’s Newest Album

As far as a new record goes, there is hope. In January, Stefani performed her latest single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,” and teased her a new album during her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

During her interview, “The Voice” coach revealed that she was planning to release an album, saying that the single was just a sample of what’s to follow.

When Fallon straight up asked Stefani if fans could expect a new album, she didn’t hold back.

“I mean at first I didn’t know if I would do an album or not but I have all these songs and I think that even like next week I want to go back in and start writing again because I don’t feel like I am quite done writing. I think that the writing process has been incredibly exciting, I love writing, that’s my favorite thing to do.”

As for the latest single, “Let Me Reintroduce Myself,” she also confessed that her Voice co-host and finance Blake Shelton was the one who wanted her to release the song.

“Blake was the one that said you know that song ‘Let Me Reintroduce Myself,’ that song is a hit or whatever,” Stefani explained. “And because he has had like 27 No. 1 radio hits and he’s been on ‘The Voice’ for twenty seasons picking songs and being around music, I trust him in that.”
