Pop superstar Gwen Stefani has posted an elegant photo to Instagram from her wedding to country star Blake Shelton two weeks ago.

“happy 2 week anniversary ❤️,” Stefani captioned the photo. “@blakeshelton @darlingangel6 @carsondaly gx.”

In the photo, the couple’s friend Carson Daly, who married them, can be seen inside the chapel that Shelton had built for the occasion. Stefani and Shelton stand with their backs to the camera, and wedding guests watch from the corner of the shot.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton Popped Up In Tishomingo Recently

While the newlyweds are both extremely busy – Stefani with her upcoming solo album, which will be her fifth, and with preparations for her autumn Las Vegas residency; Shelton with Season 21 of “The Voice” and with preparations for his August tour – they nonetheless found time to perform an acoustic set together for fans in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

The couple showed up at Shelton’s Ole Red bar in Tishomingo on Thursday, where they performed a free concert. The setlist: 2020’s “Happy Anywhere,” the 2019 duet “Nobody But You” and Stefani’s old hit song “Don’t Speak.”

Then, the next day, Shelton announced another impromptu rehearsal on his Instagram page. “That was a blast yesterday!!!” he wrote. “Let’s do it again today at @OleRed’s The Doghouse in Tishomingo!!! Rehearsal starts around 4:30! It’s not a show, but it’s fun.”

The Couple’s Wedding Was the Perfect Blend of Pop and Country

As befits the couple themselves, the wedding two weeks ago was the perfect blend of their two worlds. Gwen Stefani’s wedding dress was a custom white Vera Wang Haute silk georgette gown with a sweetheart plunging neckline, fitted bodice and high low hand tumbled tulle skirt. For the reception, Stefani changed into a custom lily-white Italian silk crepe and hand tumbled tulle strapless mini dress.

“You need a party dress when u get to marry @blakeshelton,” Stefani posted about her costume change.

Shelton, for his part, donned a black tuxedo jacket, white shirt, black vest and light bow tie with blue jeans.

Daly, who reportedly early on in the couple’s relationship sat the two down and told them to go slow, said of their wedding that it was both “elegant and refined and cool” and “country and down-home.”

“You know, they’re like if you paired delicious fried chicken with a glass of champagne,” Daly later said of the newlyweds. “You know, like, on paper, on the menu, it doesn’t seem to work, but it works.”
