Gwen Stefani had all eyes on her and her unique dress when she performed on the Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special.

Throughout the years, the 51-year-old singer has been a regular performer on NBC’s holiday special. This year, The Voice coach performed her new holiday song, “Here This Christmas.” Stefani also made sure to keep the performance socially distanced as dancers and band members performed behind her.

In addition, the music wasn’t the only thing viewers were interested in. Many viewers believe the dress caught most of the attention.

As a result, Twitter users sounded off on the singer’s decision to wear a red-and-white-plaid pattern dress. It also seemed like the singer’s dress drew inspiration from candy canes and other treats. With attention to the dress, some theorized it looked less like sweets and more like a picnic blanket. The red mesh covering the No Doubt singer’s midsection also drew looks.

Stefani’s holiday song, “Here This Christmas,” is also the theme music for Hallmark channel’s Countdown to Christmas

The channel got a jump on the celebration when it started on October 23rd. The special includes 23 new original movies.

For “Here This Christmas,” OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Brent Kutzle wrote the song as well as led production. This month, the pair are preparing to release OneRepublic’s fifth studio album, “Human.”

“Music… is central to Countdown to Christmas,” Michelle Vicary, EVP of Programming at Crown Media Family Networks, said in a press release. “We have always wanted our own holiday theme song. Having this opportunity to harness the incredible talents of Gwen Stefani and Ryan Tedder in the creation and recording of ‘Here This Christmas’ is a dream come true.
