The Hocus Pocus reunion brought a number of surprise celebrity cameos.
The ‘Hocus Pocus’ Reunion
The charitable event took place on October 30. In Search of the Sanderson Sisters: A Hocus Pocus Hulaween Takeover raised funds for the New York Restoration Project that benefits the environment and social justice causes. Bette Midler helped spearhead the charity and event which also brought back her fellow Sanderson sisters, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy.
The event was an epic documentary-style feature that had A-list celebrities interact or share their tales of the infamous witchy sisters.
The Celebrities
One of the standout moments was when Mariah Carey answered the door for Winifred Sanderson (Winnie). “Well if it isn’t Winnie Sanderson, looking for a candy bar,” Carey said. “I got news for you girl – Halloween’s nearly over, so scat!” Carey’s Christmas hit, “All I Want For Christmas” then played in the background.
Furthermore, Glenn Close reprised her role as Cruella De Vil from the live-action Disney film, 101 Dalmatians. Jamie Lee Curtis somewhat reprised the iconic role of Laurie Strode by letting out her famous screeches.
Finally, Meryl Streep, Billy Crystal, John Stamos, and countless other stars also took part in the evening.

The Sequel
It looks like the Sanderson sisters may return for a sequel to the 1993 cult classic. Midler revealed that Najimy and Parker also want to reprise their roles for a Disney+ film.
“They want to make a movie, they’ve asked us if we were interested and of course all of us said yes,” Midler confirmed to Good Day New York.
