One lucky Home Alone fan will spend the night in the McCallister family home this Christmas season, thanks to Airbnb.

According to the description, the “Home Sweet Home Alone Holiday” will welcome “one crew of mischief makers” to stay in the house on Dec. 12. The McCallisters are on vacation for the holidays once again, and this time, the entire family is going. Hosted by Kevin’s older brother Buzz, the booking promises fun for the inner eight-year-old in all of us.

Guests will get to partake in a variety of activities. From eating a candlelit dinner of Kraft Mac and Cheese to meeting Buzz’s tarantula, fans will get the Home Alone experience firsthand. Fingers crossed that this does not include an encounter with the Wet Bandits.

Even more exciting is that in honor of the first-ever stay in the McCallister home, Airbnb is donating to a worthy cause: Chicago’s La Rabida Children’s Hospital. This hospital is dedicated to improving the quality of life in children with chronic conditions.

Fans of the Home Alone films may recall a connection to Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. During the climax of the film, Kevin’s key motivation for stopping the Wet Bandits was to save money raised for a children’s hospital. As a result, the donation by Airbnb is fitting for a Home Alone-inspired stay.

A Home for the Holidays

The Home Alone house is located in Winnetka, Illinois. While the house itself contains five bedrooms, the Airbnb stay only offers two. Though it is not specified in the description, fans can be assured they will not have to stay in the attic like Kevin.

Though it has been redecorated to match the film, the house was not actually the shooting location for most of the film. Rather, the majority of the interior shots were filmed in a high school gymnasium. Also located in Winnetka, New Trier Township High School was also featured in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Uncle Buck.

Fans Will Enjoy a Special Screening

Additionally, these fans will get to see a screening of the newest entry in the Home Alone series. Home Sweet Home Alone is a soft reboot of the franchise, with a new lead character involved in his own booby-trapped hijinks. It’s no Angel With Filthy Souls, but it is sure to be a fun watch nonetheless.

Finally, the guest will receive a special Home Alone LEGO kit to take with them after their stay.

The booking costs an affordable $25 per night. However, since there is only one night available, competition will surely be fierce. Reservations for this one-night stay open on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. CT.
