Reality star Honey Boo Boo is officially off the market, revealing that she has a boyfriend during an Instagram Q&A back on Wednesday, January 13.
Yes, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, has a new special someone in her life. The 15-year-old took fan questions during the Instagram Q&A on Jan. 13, where one person asked if she had a boyfriend. The teenager replied to the question with the answer, “yesssss.” Another fan subsequently asks Thompson, “how is life?” to which she wrote back, “honestly couldn’t be better.”
However, at least for now, it seems like Honey Boo Boo is keeping her new man’s identity on the down-low. She has not posted any photos of the two together on her main feed. That is mostly full of selfies of Thompson by herself.
Mama June Arrested
Currently, Honey Boo Boo has been living with her sister Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird (formerly Shannon) after their mother, Mama June Shannon, and her boyfriend, Geno Doak, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Pumpkin is only 21 and married to her husband Joshua Efird. They stepped in to take care of her younger sister while Shannon, 41, spent time at a Florida-based rehab facility in 2020.
Still, for the time being, Honey Boo Boo remains under Pumpkin’s watch. A fan on Instagram sent a question to Pumpkin regarding whether Alana was back to living with her mother. Pumpkin sent a response back saying, “She’s still with me.” The teenager’s emotional decision to go stay at her sister’s was highlighted in 2019 in an episode of the family’s reality show, Family Crisis.
“I would love to come home and stay with you, tell you about my day, but I can’t do that because I’m scared,” Honey Boo Boo told her mom during an emotional family intervention. “I’m scared to stay at your house.”She later added, “I just want mama back.”
As emotional as it was, it does seem as though Thompson is in a better place these days. She also revealed that a new season of Mama June Road to Redemption will be airing later in March.

“Looking pretty. Are you working on losing weight also?” a fan asked on one of Thompson’s selfies on Instagram. “Yes ma’am,” the young star replied.
Meanwhile, most who are familiar with her know that she is never afraid to shut down haters on social media.
“Your opinion doesn’t make my money,” she captioned one of her photos with a smiley face.
“It does though,” one follower argued before Thompson turned off the comments. She quickly replied, “It doesn’t hun. I make money if you like me or not.”
