Despite playing an all-show sport, Hulk Hogan sure has had his fair amount of surgeries over the days.

To be exact, the WWE star had 23 surgeries in the past.

Hulk Hogan Injuries and Surgeries

“Saw this and remembered exactly what my body felt like before I had 23 surgeries, I didn’t get the memo that it was all fake lol, p.s.i would do it all over again if I could!!! Only love/respect 4theBizHH,” Hulk Hogan tweeted today.

The wrestler is quite literally scarred for life.

Hogan has discussed his experience with surgeries quite a bit in the past.

In a picture from May, Hulk Hogan showed off his scars from the 10 surgeries he had. On his back, fittingly below his “Immortal” tattoo, a huge scar runs vertically down his back.

“10 surgeries you can hang a Mack truck from my back and I’ll still take the whole WWE roster on brother,” Hogan said, according to TMZ.

On the “OBJECTified” podcast with Harvey Levin, Hulk Hogan said that his knees and hips are fake. He also said that his back and face are full of metal. He even has a pretty gruesome teeth mark scar on his finger.

For fake wrestling he sure has gone through it.

In 2019, he had a procedure that restricted his ability to lift weights. He defied doctor expectations.

When Hulk Hogan was 58, he had a torn knee cap, spinal cord injury, injured back and a hip surgery.

According to Bleacher Report, in 2012 he was still working with TNA as a wrestling and backstage professional despite these injuries. He had his last in-ring match at the TNA’s Bound For Glory 2011 event.

A Very Real Career

While his wrestling may have been for show, Hogan had a very real career. Even now, he is a highly recognized public figure.

During his career, he won the WWF Championship on five different occasions. He then won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times.

His massive career as the most recognizable name in wrestling allowed him to explore different avenues. He starred as the antagonist in “Rocky III” as well as movies like “No Holds Barred,” “Suburban Commando,” and “Mr. Nanny.”

He also had a 2005 reality show called “Hogan Knows Best” that was centered on his wife Linda and their two kids Brooke and Nick.

Even Dolly Parton got in on the Hogan magic. Her music video for “Headlock on my Heart” features Hulk Hogan as the “Starlight Starbright.”
