How many streaming services do you subscribe to? The average American has three streaming subscriptions. It just seems to happen naturally. You’re happy with your selection of shows and movies and all is well. Then, out of nowhere, a service starts offering one or two things that you absolutely need to watch. Enter: Paramount+. Not only is the new streaming service chock full of current shows and movies but it is also a haven for nostalgic television. It has just about everything you could want including the iconic I Love Lucy.
I Love Lucy isn’t just a hilariously timeless show. It also changed how television shows are made and broadcast. Now, you can binge-watch the entire series from beginning to end. You can tune in to the brand new streaming act and relive the shaping of modern television. There’s so much more going on with Paramount+, though.
I Love Lucy – Just the Tip of the Nostalgia Iceberg
I Love Lucy is a great place to start your trip down memory lane. Paramount+ offers several roads that will take you straight to Nostalgia Town. For instance, if you’re a child of the 90s or 2000s, you can tune in to some childhood favorites to escape reality for a little while. The new streaming service carries a wealth of Nickelodeon’s lineup. For Spongebob Squarepants fans of the past, you can relive the heyday of Bikini Bottom and all its wacky inhabitants. If that’s not enough under-the-sea adventure for you, the streaming service is also offering Kamp Koral: Spongebob’s Under Years which is a prequel to the original show, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Paramount+ has plenty of shows for those who don’t want to watch old Nickelodeon cartoons as well. For instance, the service offers the entire Star Trek universe. Circling back around to the influence of I Love Lucy, Lucille Ball saved that show from being canceled. So, that’s just one more way that the classic show helped to shape television. If not for that show, Ball would not have had the power to make that decision.
The new streaming service offers some great things for Yellowstone fans as well. It won’t have the original show. However, you can watch both spinoff shows on Paramount+. Both Y:1883 and 6666 will be on the service. So, you can get deep into the lore of the Dutton Ranch.
That’s an insane range of television all in one place. However, I Love Lucy makes the service worth it’s monthly cost. Everything else is just icing on the cake.
