The cast of the upcoming fifth”Indiana Jones” movie is now mourning the loss of a crew member that worked on set.

His name was Nic Cupac, 54, who had helped film amongst 100 other crew members on the upcoming 2023 action film. Cupac had actually flown out to assist with a very difficult stunt involving a rickshaw.

Stuntman Found Dead in Morocco

According to Daily Mail, he was found dead. His death is currently presumed to be from natural causes. The crew member was found in his hotel room in Fes, Morocco. “One of the very best — taught me so much when I was starting out,” one friend of Nic Tupac wrote regarding his sudden and tragic death.

The upcoming “Indiana Jones” movie has seen a lot of tragedy and setbacks since filming has begun. For example, the movie was originally supposed to come out in 2022 but was then pushed back to a 2023 release date. The filming process had to pause because the star of the movie, Harrison Ford, suffered from a shoulder injury that made him unable to perform in the film.

The injury was actually directly connected to the final “Indiana Jones” film. At the time, Ford was rehearsing for a fight scene when he injured himself. Similar to the rest of the entertainment world, shooting was also pushed back due to safety precautions in place during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Release of ‘Indiana Jones’

This new “Indiana Jones” movie is being made 13 years after the last movie in the franchise was released. The last movie was “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull.”

This somewhat unpopular film starred Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Karen Allen, Cate Blanchett, and John Hurt.

In the past, the director of the franchise was Steven Spielberg. Now, however, James Mangold is taking over the director’s chair. He is known for his work on “Logan,” “Ford v Ferrari,” and “The Wolverine.” He decided to pass on the role as a director in order to focus on “West Side Story” as well as a coming-of-age story that is inspired by his childhood days. He will still serve as a producer.

This new film will also star Phoebe Walter-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson.

According to Deadline, there will be one consistent “Indiana Jones” theme in the upcoming movie. That is John Williams will be returning as the composer. He has worked on every score in the now 40-year-old franchise.

There are few details regarding what adventure exactly Harrison Ford will embark on in the film. Ford has been playing the character for over three decades now. Despite the fact that he’s currently 79, Ford is still lacing up in that classic “Indiana Jones” outfit.
