Jeff Bridges said he’s “feeling good” two months into his treatment for lymphoma and also showed off a new addition to his family in his latest Twitter post.

Bridges, who recently turned 71, updated his fans on his life after announcing his cancer diagnosis in October. In his latest tweet, he said he’s feeling good and got a new puppy named Monty.

On his website, Bridges went into more depth about his feelings.

“Well… here’s the next batch of what I want to point out. Music — we need it, man & all our musicians are having a hell of a time making a living these days w/ the COVID deal,” he wrote.

He also asked people to consider struggling families during the pandemic. He shared a link to the charity No Kid Hungry.

“The health of our children can serve as a compass, letting us know if we’re on course or not — we’re off course,” he wrote.

Jeff Bridges Stays Positive Despite Diagnosis

Jeff Bridges announced his lymphoma diagnosis on Oct. 19 on Twitter. But he promised his fans that he would remain positive and hopeful during the treatment.

“As the Dude would say… New sh– has come to light. I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good,” Bridges wrote. “I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.”

After a career resurgence in the early-to-mid 2010s, Bridges has stayed low key in recent years. He has not been in a film since 2018, contributing to Bad Times at the El Royale and Living in the Future’s Past.

However, Bridges is currently working on a Hulu-based TV show called The Old Man. While it was expected to be released in the fall of 2020, it has not been given a premiere date. This is likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic delaying and disrupting the production of many TV shows and movies.

The Old Man is based on Thomas Perry’s bestselling novel of the same name. The show will also star John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman, Alia Shawkat, Bill Heck, Leem Lubany and EJ Bonilla, Deadline reported.
