After tonight, April 15, there is only one more episode of Aaron Rodgers at the helm of Jeopardy! Unless, of course, the star quarterback is chosen as the next permanent host of the game show. But, there is a lot of time until that decision will be made.

In the meantime, Rodgers took a moment at the beginning of the penultimate episode to talk about the show. He shared a little bit about why he likes the show so much.

So, the Jeopardy! Instagram account got to share the short speech with its fans. Rodgers, as always, looks dapper as he delivers the opening remarks. The Instagram account says, “@aaronrodgers12 reflects on one of the best parts of being a guest host!”

“Jeopardy!” Shares a Video of Rodgers Talking About His Favorite Part Of the Show

Even though the video is short, it seems like the perfect way to start the show. Rodgers was all smiles as he delivered the opening remarks.

Rodgers begins in a typical fashion before launching into the brief monologue.

“Thank you, Johnny Gilbert. Welcome to Jeopardy!” Rodgers says in the video. “The best part of guest hosting Jeopardy! is watching the incredibly smart contestants test themselves against the game and each other.”

The current guest host of the show isn’t finished there. He adds another characteristic he loves about the show, and of course, has to add a quip about himself.

“It takes quick reflexes and the ability to make intelligent decisions on the fly to be a Jeopardy! champion. Something I can definitely relate to. So good luck to Patrick, Mark, and Lindsay! Let’s have a great game.”

It seems like a given at this point that Aaron Rodgers isn’t opposed to be the long-term show host. He has given multiple interviews about it. So, it makes sense that he began the episode with those sentimental thoughts.

Additionally, there has been a lot to like about Rodgers’ performance as the show’s guest host. He has been funny, engaging, and most importantly, incredibly professional. There is a case to be made for his return as the permanent host.

Even though there are six more hosts who have yet to do their guest-hosting stint, Rodgers is a fan favorite. While he still is in the midst of his NFL career, he clearly wants his second career to be with Jeopardy! And who can blame him?
