‘Jeopardy!’: Aaron Rodgers Reveals ‘Key’ to Hosting in New Behind-the-Scenes Clip

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is warming up for his turn as Jeopardy! guest host. What is the secret to being the man for the job? It’s quite easy. 

Green Bay Packers quarterback has traded in his football and uniform for a microphone and suit. Aaron Rodgers is the fifth person to serve as guest host for the hit game show Jeopardy!

The football star will serve his two weeks stint as host starting on Monday. Are you excited? 

Aaron Rodgers Keeps it Simple

A recent social media post from the game show’s account teased Aaron Rodgers’s debut as host. The clip also shared what Rodgers’ secret to being a superb host is. He says it’s similar to being successful in football. 

“The key to being football smart is to focus, and the key to being good at hosting is that same focus. Make sure you tune in.”

If only it were as easy as that.

This will not be Rodgers’ first time on the set of Jeopardy!, however. In 2015, he served as a contestant in Celebrity Jeopardy! And was victorious. 

Aaron Rodger grew up a huge fan of the show, saying it was his second favorite thing to watch. 

“Growing up, it was my favorite show,” Rodgers said in a clip from Jeopardy’s Twitter account yesterday. “Other than the Super Bowl, this is the honor of a lifetime. Following in the footsteps of a legend (Trebek) is something I know a little bit about. …”

Other Hosts

So far, we have seen a number of talented hosts take the podium. They include Jeopardy! royalty, Ken Jennings, executive producer Mike Richards, Today show host Katie Couric, and Tv personality Dr. Oz. 

After Aaron Rodgers, the star-studded list of the hosts is nothing to overlook. The will be TV personality Anderson Cooper, Today host Savannah Guthrie, actress Mayim Bialik, “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker, and CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Additionally, Aaron Rodger has announced the charity that he will be representing while host. The show said that it will match the amount of money won by contestants to donate toward the guest host’s charity of choice. 

For Rodgers, that will be the North Valley Community Foundation in California. This organization provides grant funds to businesses and individuals in need in the Chico community.
