Elvis may have been the king of rock-n-roll, but fans will always remember Alex Trebek as the king of game shows. During his decades-long run on “Jeopardy!” audiences often saw him quizzing the contestants on various topics.

Usually donning a suit and tie, it was a rare yet exciting moment when fans got to see another side to him.

During a “Jeopardy!” taping in Las Vegas, Trebek made the occasion even more special when he traded a suit for an Elvis costume. In the clip, we see a production member walking in on Trebek in his dressing room to let him know he has 30 seconds until the show airs.

Hilariously, he’s rocking an all-white Elvis costume, paired with aviator sunglasses and white boots.

Alex Trebek Channels Another Rock Legend For Halloween Jeopardy! Special

Trebek’s Elvis impersonation wasn’t the first time he’s dressed as a rock legend. In 2018, Trebek dressed up like KISS frontman Gene Simmons for Halloween. Decked out in black and white face paint, the Canadian game show host got the full KISS treatment. In addition to the face paint, he rocked a wig and a head-to-toe costume.

Before the show, viewers got a sneak peek into his transformation process. Behind the scenes, you see Trebek say, “Boy, I hope I got this Kiss makeup right,” moments before he stepped on stage. “Is there anybody here who can tell us if I got this right?”

At that moment, the real Gene Simmons enters, to which he responds, “You nailed it. Don’t worry.” Simmons then gifts him with platform boots and shows him how to hold up rock-n-roll’s universal symbol: devil horns. To end the bit, the two legends close by wishing audiences a happy Halloween.

When the show aired Trebek’s final episode on Jan. 8, the show included a heartwarming video tribute of the host. In it, fans can see a shot of Trebek in full KISS garb. The clip also featured entertaining moments from his decades-long career behind the podium. It ended with a title card that read, “Dedicated to Alex Trebek: Forever in our hearts. Always our inspiration.”
