‘Jeopardy!’ Champ Matt Amodio Shows Guest Host Joe Buck Some ‘Love’ in Latest Post

Reigning “Jeopardy” champion Matt Amodio continues to dominate his competition with his latest win coming with Tuesday’s episode.

Amodio continues to climb higher and higher into the game show record books as he rattles off win after win. Not only does Amodio win, but he often wins big and has rarely been challenged in his ongoing hot streak. His “Jeopardy!” win total currently sits at 15 and he will go for yet another win tonight (Wednesday). Through his 15-game winning streak, Amodio has amassed more than $475,000 with his sight set on more. He now ranks as the fourth-highest earner in “Jeopardy!” history and could climb even higher this week. He currently only sits behind the legendary Ken Jennings, James Holzhauer and Jason Zuffranieri. He is quickly closing the gap on Jason Zuffranieri, who topped $500,000 in his 19-game winning streak in 2019.

Through his 15 wins on “Jeopardy!” Amodio has seen four different individuals behind the iconic host’s lectern. On Tuesday, he shares some love for the current celebrity guest host, sports broadcaster Joe Buck. He took to social media to praise Buck’s prowess behind the podium and expresses gratitude for his work as host.

“I am loving the (Joe Buck) show on ‘Jeopardy!” the 15-day champion writes in a Twitter post. “I can feel the rhythm of the game in his voice. It is almost like he does the for a living. Great job, Joe!”

‘Jeopardy!’ Guest Host Joe Buck Meets Matt Amodio

Joe Buck is not only the latest host to witness Matt Amodio’s historic winning streak during his run. Amodio began his hot streak with journalist and television host Robin Roberts serving as the “Jeopardy!” guest host. Once Roberts completed her turn, it was former “Reading Rainbow” star LeVar Burton who handled guest-hosting responsibilities. Amodio won all give episodes that Burton hosted in his week-long tenure. The same can be said of journalist David Faber, who took over for Burton just last week. Like with the former “Star Trek” actor, Amodio won each game hosted by Faber. Buck officially took the hosting reigns on Monday and now has two episodes under his belt. He will finish out the week as host with his final episode set for Friday.

In a social media post from earlier this week, Amodio says he has enjoyed the experience of meeting each of the four hosts he’s played under.

“I have had the privilege of seeing three tremendous people host ‘Jeopardy!’ in Robin Roberts, LeVar Burton and David Faber,” he says in the tweet. Each of you did an outstanding job. Tough acts to follow, but if anyone would be, I bet you are up to the challenge, Joe Buck!”

Matt Amodio will be shooting for his 16th straight win later this evening.
