On Monday afternoon, Jeopardy!‘s Instagram account shared a special message from actress Drew Barrymore who will make a guest appearance on tonight’s show.
The actress and current host of The Drew Barrymore Show will join Jeopardy! later tonight. Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is filling in as guest host for his second and final week. However, Barrymore will be relieving Rodgers of his duties during a segment of tonight’s game show.
She’ll be presenting an entire category that’s dedicated to “Famous Hollywood Families.” Jeopardy!‘s Instagram account shared a video of the celebrity announcing the details of her appearance.
“Hi, Drew Barrymore here, and I’m so excited to be on Jeopardy! presenting an entire category about famous Hollywood families… like mine,” Barrymore says in the clip.
“Don’t miss @drewbarrymore presenting a category on Jeopardy! today!,” the game show wrote on the post.
‘Jeopardy!’ Dates Announced for Next Guest Hosts Following Aaron Rodgers
Last week, starting on April 5, Super Bowl-winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers took over as interim host of Jeopardy!. The former celebrity contestant of the quiz show became a Jeopardy! champion after competing on an episode in 2015. The 2020 NFL MVP is a lifelong fan of the quiz show and has been honored to fill in temporarily for legendary host Alex Trebek after he passed away in November.
The game show has used a rotating cast of celebrity guest hosts since Trebek’s death. Over the weekend, they updated the schedule going forward and announced new dates for its next round of celebrity interim hosts.
Following Rodgers’ two-week stint on the show, CNN anchor Anderson Cooper will take over from April 19 to 30. Next up after Cooper is 60 Minutes correspondent Bill Whitaker who will take the reins from May 3 to 14. In addition, former Blossom and Big Bang star Mayim Bialik will take over at the end of May. Her guest-hosting run will last from May 31 until June 11.
Also, Jeopardy! has announced two more interim hosts. Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie and CNN’s medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta will both take a turn at hosting. However, the quiz show has yet to announce either celebrity’s hosting dates.
