‘Jeopardy!’: Former Guest Host Buzzy Cohen Takes Jab at Fellow Guest Hosts Ken Jennings, Mayim Bialik in Hilarious New ‘Feats of Strength’ Post

by Clayton Edwards

Most Jeopardy! fans think of Ken Jennings as the former guest-host with the comedy chops on Twitter. At the same time, he’s widely regarded as everyone’s favorite former champ. However, he had better step his game up. Buzzy Cohen is coming for both of those unofficial titles. Lately, Cohen had been on a roll on the social media platform. On top of that, the fans love him.

Yesterday, Buzzy Cohen took to Twitter to throw some playful jabs at two of his fellow former guest-hosts. He started off by saying that the Jeopardy! guest-hosts were all handling the game pretty well. However, Cohen wanted to know when the feats of strength were going to take place. That was just the start of a hilarious thread.

Buzzy Cohen posted another tweet, calling out two of the most prominent former Jeopardy! guest-hosts. “I will pay good money,” Cohen wrote, “to see Ken Jennings in a singlet lifting an atlas stone,” Cohen added that former Blossom star Mayim Bialik would probably beat the entire pool of guest-hosts in a caber toss. For those not in the know, that is an old Scottish sport that can be boiled down to throwing giant logs while wearing a kilt. Cohen added that he might have formed the opinion of Bialik because of her, “effortless command of plaids.”

Buzzy Cohen’s replies were full of funny tweets. However, my favorite came from a Twitter user named Ginny. She quipped, “I would pay good money to get the mental image of Ken Jennings in a singlet out of my brain forever.” You and me both, Ginny.

Buzzy Cohen Is A Fan Favorite

Buzzy Cohen got his start on Jeopardy! back in 2016. He won nine straight games and took home over $150,000. Usually, he was so far ahead that he could use his Final Jeopardy! responses to crack jokes. This got under the skin of some viewers. However, those with a sense of humor thought it added a little something extra to the show. In 2017, Cohen returned to the Jeopardy! stage to compete in the Tournament of Champions. He won that and took home a quarter of a million dollars.

Earlier this year, Buzzy Cohen returned to the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions. This time, he was there to host. His sense of humor, charisma, and deep respect for the game as well as the late Alex Trebeck ingratiated him to fans around the world.

Buzzy Cohen was only days into his stint as guest-host when fans took to social media to praise his hosting abilities. Many Jeopardy! fans said that Cohen is the clear choice to be Trebek’s successor. The conversation didn’t end when his hosting stint did, either. To this day, when the conversation comes up, there are plenty of people who quickly speak up on Cohen’s behalf.

In short, Ken Jennings has some stiff competition for the permanent hosting position in the eyes of many fans. At the same time, he may not be the funniest former host on Twitter if Cohen keeps coming with the jokes like this. Jennings is going to have to do something to put himself well ahead of the pack. Let’s just pray it doesn’t involve a singlet.
