For those who have ever wondered “what is behind the clue” on Jeopardy!, the popular game show is here to answer your question. Thanks to the official Jeopardy! Instagram account, fans can always gain a little insight into certain clues.
That was the case on Tuesday evening as Jeopardy! dove into explaining the backstory behind the Color of the Year in 2000. They also even threw in a reference to actress and singer, Meryl Streep in the iconic movie The Devil Wears Prada.
“The Color of the Year for 2000 was cerulean blue, the subject of a famous rant by Meryl Streep,” Jeopardy shared in a photo.
“The Pantone Color Institute has been selecting a new ‘it’ color – known as its Color of the Year – for more than two decades. Every year, the institute conducts global research on recurring color patterns seen throughout the world. The hue that is selected is said to capture the tone or mood of the current cultural climate and is considered to set trends in fashion, entertainment, interior design, technology, graphic design, and more.”

Former ‘Jeopardy!’ Guest Host Shows Where Clues are Created
It was just back in April that Dr. Oz was wrapping up his two-week stint as Jeopardy! guest host. And while he was doing so, the TV personality posted footage of his visit to the “library” at the studio where clues for the show are written.
