Upcoming Jeopardy guest host and actress Mayim Bialik has revealed details for the 90s sitcom Blossom reboot.
If you were a fan of the 90s sitcom Blossom, start getting excited.
Blossom aired for five seasons on NBC from 1990 until May of 1995. Mayim Bialik starred in the show as the main character, Blossom Russo, herself. Blossom was the youngest child, living with her father and two older brothers. Unfortunately, her mother left to pursue her own career. The show followed the challenging life of the young girl.
Mayim Bialik has announced that she plans to have a “limited reboot” of the series. However, she notes that it will be very different from the original.
According to Pop Culture, Bialik and Blossom creator Don Reo worked together to construct the reboot. The actress also reveals that the new version of the show is not written as a sitcom. Furthermore, Mayim Bialik reveals that they’ve had a lot of trouble having anyone interested in it.”
“We think that sitcom reboots are really trendy, and we get that’s a draw, but we felt that for our character and for all the characters of Blossom, that would actually be more fitting to not do a sitcom reboot.”
Bialik continues, saying that she hopes “someone will change their mind” to pick up the series because, like “all the reboots going on, there’s a lot of interest in these kinds of characters.”
The original Blossom touched on challenging topics, such as abuse, alcohol, drugs, and divorce. Mayim Bialik explains that these complex characters still “hold a special place on people’s hearts.”
“So, we’re hoping that at some point, we could see if that might happen,” she said.

The honor of being invited to stand behind the same podium that Alex Trebek once ruled for over 36 years cannot be understated. However, Bialik isn’t some brainless actress. In 2007, the 45-year-old earned her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA. Quite impressive, if we must say.
Besides Mayim Bialik, other celebrities that have been selected to takes the stage of Jeopardy include: Ken Jennings, Mike Richards, Katie Couric, Dr. Oz, Aaron Rodger, Anderson Cooper, Savannah Guthrie, Bill Whitaker, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Joe Buck, and most recently, LaVar Burton was added to the list.
Six guest hosts have already had their day in the game show’s spotlight, with TV personality Anderson Cooper currently holding the position.
