Jeopardy! Champion Draws Laughter on Social Media

The now 46-year-old Jennings recently took a playful shot at pop icon Lady Gaga by suggesting she is like her brand of Oreo Cookies. The tweet came in response to a social media user’s recent trip to the grocery store and the exchange is quite hilarious.

“Hadn’t been to a suburban supermarket in a year,” the Twitter poster says. “I didn’t realize how much I missed Wacko Treat Varietals”

Jennings is quick to reply to the social media post, getting in a shot at the “Poker Face” and “Rain On Me” singer.

“I just found the last of the Lady Gaga Oreos my kids bought months ago,” he says.” They’re crazy colors but just taste like vanilla, seems a little on the nose.”

The tweet drew several laughs from Jennings’ social media followers, who enjoy his quirky sense of humor.

Jennings is largely considered one of the most successful game show contestants of all time. In 2004, he went on an unprecedented streak of 74-straight Jeopardy! wins. It is a record that isn’t likely to soon be broken. During his initial Jeopardy! run, he raked in over $2.5 million and won several other editions of the show. His total game show winnings are north of $4.5 million.

Jennings is coming off a six-week tenure as Jeopardy! guest host. He was the first celebrity to fill in for the late Alex Trebek upon his passing last year. Of the five celebrity guest host on Jeopardy! so far, Jennings has had the most success with an outstanding score of six on the Nielsen Rating scale.
