Ken Jennings is hyping up tonight’s episode of “The Chase,” on Twitter. The quiz show is kicking off its two-episode season finale tonight and both Jennings and the show’s Twitter page promise that it’s going to be a big night. While the trivia legend isn’t giving away any spoilers he says that something crazy is going to happen on the show.
Ken Jennings knows a thing or two about crazy quiz show happenings. He is the longest-running and highest-earning “Jeopardy!” champion of all time. He was such a stellar contestant that he hosted the show for a short time after Alex Trebek’s tragic passing. He also recently appeared on the GSN quiz show “Master Minds” as a trivia expert. In short, Jennings knows his stuff. So, when he says it’s going to be a crazy episode, you can take it to the bank.
Ken Jennings added his promise of a crazy episode to the show’s original tweet. “The Chase,” said that the season is ending with a bang. The video included in the post will have fans of the show excited to see exactly what happens tonight.
In the video, host Sara Haines can be heard saying, “This isn’t something we see often.” There’s no telling what is going to happen. However, fans don’t have to wait too long to find out. The show airs tonight at 9/8 central on ABC.
Ken Jennings Was a Question on “The Chase”
The Chasers, Ken Jennings, Brad Rutter, and James Holzhauer sat down with “TV Insider” earlier today to talk about the first season of “The Chase.” During the interview, they talked about their respect for winning contestants and their time as Chasers. At the same time, they take good-natured shots at one another. At one point it comes up that Jennings was actually brought up as a question on the show’s previous episode.
When asked how he felt about being a trivia question, he said it was very flattering. He said that becoming a question on the show is one of the best things that could happen to a trivia fan. He wasn’t present for that episode but said that he got the question about himself wrong.
Later in the interview, the correspondent asked the Chasers, who are all “Jeopardy!” champs, what they thought Alex Trebek would think about their performance on the show. Ken Jennings said, “What Alex really liked was a good close game. He didn’t like it when one of us ran away with the game. He liked when everybody was playing well. That was the spirit of ‘Jeopardy!’ and the spirit of game shows, to him. More than anything, he’d want a close finish.”
There’s a good chance that that’s a hint as to what happens in the season finale of “The Chase,” but only time will tell.
