Parrot Heads, unite! We have some new Jimmy Buffett merch to buy.

In a Twitter post, Buffett posted a photo of a newly available t-shirt design and said “People asked – so we did it.”

The long sleeve baseball shirt features a small Jimmy Buffett logo on the front and a large crustacean playing a guitar on the back. The design is a revamp of a t-shirt that was sold during Buffett’s 1974 Acoustic Tour.

Along with the image, Buffett writes, “Fun Fact – these are JB and the Coral Reefer Band’s first-ever tour shirts. Available for a limited time only.”

Why Are Jimmy Buffett Fans So Excited?

The t-shirt, once reserved for only the most hardcore of fans, is now available to everyone. Fans young and old can feel like they are time-traveling back to one of Buffett’s earlier performances.

In a Facebook post, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefers said they enlisted the help of dedicated fans in order to design the new shirt.

“This was the first. The 1974 “Acoustic Tour” Crustacean! We have to thank a couple of fans for sharing them with us so we could get them re-created once again,” the post said.

Buffett then asked any fans who have the original shirt to share their photos. “If you have one – please share your photos. Being the first-ever – these deserve some likes,” Buffett said.

1974 was not only the year of A1A – it was also the year of the FIRST EVER Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band…
