John Wayne is celebrating the return of the NFR in Vegas. Fort Worth, Texas is having a watch party in the Stockyards for those who cannot make it to the event. Check out the cowboy channel website to browse or purchase tickets here.

This is a don’t want to miss event for any western folks. It is known as the richest and most prestigious rodeos world-wide.

The NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The grand prize is the $10.257 million purse and the PRCA Gold Buckle.

Besides the John Wayne Experience, Here’s Some Opening Acts For This Years NFR Event

The entertainers are scheduled to perform prior to the rodeo competition. The full list of opening acts includes:

Vegas Night on December 2nd.

Easton Corbin on Friday, December 3rd.

David Lee Murphy on Saturday, December 4th. He is also performing at Money, Baby! at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas the same day.

Bonnie Bishop on Sunday, December 5th.

Lainey Wilson on Monday, December 6th. She is also performing with country superstar, Jason Aldean at Park MGM.

Glen Templeton will perform Tuesday, December 7th.

Adrian Brennan on Wednesday, December 8th.

Corb Lund is the opening act on Thursday, December 9th.

Jamey Johnson opens up the event and plays the Golden Nugget on Friday, December 10th.

The final opener for the NFR is Gold Night in Vegas on Saturday, December 11th.

Shopping and Breathtaking Experiences

The Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas is said to be a great experience for everyone. It is NFR’s premier gift show that features the West’s best clothing shops, artwork, jewelry, furniture and a ton more. It is a must see stop if you still need to buy Christmas presents! Free to enter and open to all ages. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from December 2nd to 11th.

For the Early Birds opened a night early with hours of 5 to 10 p.m. This makes it the first time in almost 35 years that guests will have the opportunity to shop at night. A tree-lighting ceremony will also be here.

Ariat Rodeo Live Stage begins each day with the RMEF Cowboys for Conservation Calcutta to Flint Rasmussen’s “Outside the Barrel” and ending with Shane Minor’s “Cowboy Revival” show. It all wraps up with a tailgate party, which is a two plus hour show.

NFR Central is presented by Resorts World Las Vegas. People will experience a live DJ, live panels, autograph sessions, giveaways and a Rocking Rodeo Runway.

NFR 2021 sounds like the place to be if you’re near the area. Otherwise, the performances and other areas of fun will be able to watch soon.
