Jon Voight Mocked by ‘Ray Donovan’ Co-Star Eddie Marsan Over Donald Trump Support

“Ray Donovan” actor Eddie Marsan seemingly took a shot at fellow co-star Jon Voight’s political preferences. Marsan plays Terry Donovan on the Showtime hit and has co-starred with Voight for the show’s seven seasons, according to Fox News.

Marsan took to social media, to tweet a photo from the set that shows he and Voight together. In the photo, Marsan’s character appears to be in deep thought but not paying much attention to Voight’s character. He also uses the tweet to endorse Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“Hey America, I know this is the most important election ever and the survival of your democratic institutions and the soul of America is at stake,” he writes. But can we just take it back to me for a second. Please vote for Joe Biden, I can’t spend another four years listening to this bulls**t.”

Though he didn’t specify his intent for putting the tweet out, many speculate he is referring to Voight’s emphatic support of President Donald Trump’s reelection bid.

Jon Voight Vocal About Trump Support

To call Voight politically outspoken would be a vast understatement. The Academy Award winner has been very public in his support for Trump, taking to social media to make posts and put out videos endorsing the president for reelection. Most recently, the Anaconda star put out a video calling the former Vice President “evil” and says “Trump must win.”

In the video, Voight says “leftists” are not for the American people. He says Biden will weaken America by bringing policies instituted by former President Barack Obama.

“We cannot let that happen again,” he says while looking directly into the camera. “The left are deceitful and have lied to the American people. They have stripped her mighty powers for their own ego of power to rule the nation’s economy. Let us ask God to rid this horror and let us hold a candle on this land of the free and bring her back to the place she once stood proud.”

Fox News notes it is entirely possible that Marsan and Voight have made peace over their political difference. Marsan has referred to Voight as a friend and colleague on multiple occasions.
