Kacey Musgraves has proven time and time again that she isn’t afraid to share her personal beliefs and stories with her fans. She quickly became a star in country music that is incredibly vocal.

This time, fans are really getting to see inside the country artist. Quite literally, since she posted a photo of the gallbladder she had removed.

Kacey Musgraves and Her Gallbladder

In a recent tweet, Musgraves is sharing the anniversary of when she had surgery to have her gallbladder removed.

She wrote, “weirdest pic in ur phone right now: go! Ok since no one asked mine is of the sh*tty gallbladder that had to be taken out of my body exactly a year ago. Isn’t science neat.”

Her fans took the lighthearted post to heart. They began sharing some of their own personal photos that are “weird” in nature. One person shared a picture of a dirty nail that fell off.

They wrote, “Here’s my thumbnail that I took off/ broke my thumb when I pinched my thumb between an engine and a pneumatic tool. I picked it up off the engine.” In the hopes of only having one gross image in this article, that photo will not be featured.

Other people were living out some of their old pre-COVID memories. For one user this meant sharing a strange poster she found in a dive bar in Wisconsin with some squirrel-themed decor.

The thread is definitely a pick-me-up of strange and funny photos. It also gave fans the opportunity to see a part of Musgraves that is no longer a part of her.

Musgraves Buys Her Grandma’s House

While she may have lost her gallbladder a year ago, Kacey Musgraves just gained something new in her life.

According to CMT, she bought her grandmother’s house situated in Golden, Texas. While temperatures are far from golden and sunny down in Texas, there’s a feeling of brightness coming from the house.

Musgraves painted the house pink, which was her grandmother’s favorite color. The house was being put up for sale, but Musgraves wasn’t ready to see her childhood home slip away.

“Ain’t neverrr seen Golden, TX like this … years ago it was going to be put up for sale so I saved it from being sold & painted it baby pink because it was my Memaw’s favorite color. My mom painted the porch ceiling like this because texas.”

Besides some pink-themed restoration, Musgraves has some other tasks she’s working on as of now.

She is working on her fifth album with producers Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk. She has already written nearly 40 songs that can be featured on the upcoming album.

Kacey Musgraves was recently on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine where she opened up about her journey in the music industry. She also discusses new music and her recent divorce.

In the interview, she said, “I can’t help but write about what I’m going through. I want to honor the huge range of emotions that I’ve felt over this past year, past six months.”
