Appearing on LA Ink since 2007, Kat Von D is one of the most prolific tattoo artists in California. It may surprise you to learn then she announced she’s leaving the shop behind to settle down in a small Indiana town.

Making the announcement on Instagram Monday morning, Kat mentioned buying a home in Vevay, Indiana. Saying it felt more like home the more time she and her husband went there, she decided to close High Voltage, the tattoo parlor she ran in California.

“As some of you know, we recently purchased a beautiful home on a bit of land in rural Indiana, and the more time we spend out there we realize we feel more at home there than we do here in LA,” the caption begins.

The caption continues, saying “After much thought, we have decided we will permanently be moving to Indiana at the end of this year. We plan on selling our beautiful home here, and I will most likely open a private studio in Indiana once we are done with the house remodel there.”

Furthermore, she announced closing High Voltage on December 1, citing her absence as the primary reason. Last year she mentioned buying the home on Facebook. According to her, she wasn’t fond of where California was going. “Definitely not ever selling our beautiful home in LA, but with all that’s been taking place in California, with terrible policies, tyrannical government overreach, ridiculous taxing, amongst so much more corruption, we just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where my son can be free to play,” she wrote.

Nonetheless, she encourages people to come by before the closure and suggests people follow their artists on social media.

Every Time the Baltimore Ravens Win a Game, a Fan gets a Tattoo

Speaking of tattoos, one diehard Ravens fan is using his own body to illustrate his commitment to the team. In fact, he plans to get a tattoo every time the team scores a win in the 2021 season.

Nic Cullison loves the Ravens, to say the least. After Justin Tucker delivered a 66-yard field goal earning the Ravens a win, Cullison was inspired to get a tattoo. So inspired, actually, he said he’ll celebrate every win this season with a tattoo. Starting with a goalpost tattoo and “Tucker 66 yards” spelled out inside it, his whole body may soon turn into a scrapbook.

Talking to ESPN, he divulged how the decision came to be. “If I have it my way, I will have a full leg sleeve by the end of the season and end it with Lamar holding up the Lombardi. After the Chiefs tattoo, I was like: ‘Do I keep it going, or am I going to let this die?’ Then, after that 66-yard field goal, that answered it for me.”
