Who Will Take Alex Trebek’s Place?

According to a statement from producers, there will be, “a special tribute to the life and work of the man who captained America’s Favorite Quiz Show with skill, style, and sophistication for 36 plus years,” according to a statement from “Jeopardy!”

Trebek hosted the show for 37 seasons from its revival in 1984. He also hosted a number of other game shows, including The Wizard of OddsDouble DareHigh RollersBattlestarsClassic Concentration, and To Tell the Truth

But who will take Trebek’s place at the Jeopardy! helm? Although a permanent new host has not yet been chosen, producers announced that, in the meantime, they want to choose interim hosts who “come from the Jeopardy! family” to “create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.” And Couric does, in fact, have a connection to the show. She presented Jeopardy! clues categories many times in past years. Additionally, fans can rest assured that they will also see a familiar face when new episodes begin on January 11th. Famed champion and $4,370,700 lifetime show winner, Ken Jennings will be hosting.
