Before you say it, Outsiders, we know – it’s too soon to be thinking about Christmas. You’ve barely thought about getting candy for your trick-or-treaters, and yet, already, you’ve seen tinsel and ornaments in a couple of store windows. We’re not skipping Halloween or even Thanksgiving to get to the holiday season. However, if you’re itching for an early fix of winter festivities, Kelly Clarkson has you covered.

In order to get a head start on the holidays, Kelly Clarkson has already recorded her Christmas album, When Christmas Comes Around which drops on October 16. A follow-up to her 2013 holiday album, Wrapped in Red, the latest edition will feature 15 tracks with a mix of original and cover songs. The pop star teased a few seconds of one original song, “Merry Christmas Baby,” on Twitter, complete with a chorus of bells in the background. In her tweet, Clarkson promised to release sneak peeks of other songs on the album throughout the week.

Listen to the preview of “Merry Christmas Baby” in the clip below.

Amid the cheerful tune, Kelly Clarkson sings the line, “What I got you for Christmas is losing me.” It’s possible the inspiration for her new single comes from her recent courtroom battles with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. If so, fans are totally here for it.

“It’s going to be a very sassy Miss Independentmas this year,” one commenter wrote.

“#MerryChristmasBaby sounds like a certain someone is on your naughty list, and yep, his loss!” another said.

Kelly Clarkson Lights Up Twitter with Another Preview of Christmas Album

Previously, Kelly Clarkson spoke about choosing the title for this year’s Christmas album. Knowing how strong of emotions the holiday season can bring, she settled on When Christmas Comes Around.

“My purpose for choosing this lyric for being the title of this project was to bring forth a sense of reality to the fact that we are probably all in very different places emotionally ‘when Christmas comes around,’” she said in a statement.

Clarkson also shared yet another snippet of her coming Christmas album in September. Too excited to wait for the weather change, it seems the pop star waited as long as she possibly could before posting a few seconds of “Christmas Isn’t Canceled” on Twitter.

In an adorably animated video, a smiling Kelly Clarkson hung an ornament on a tree in front of her sparkling house before dancing with a handsome stranger. While the snowflakes fell in the clip, Clarkson’s lyrics appeared:

I’ll be hanging every light I find in this house
Playing Christmas music so loud
This year Christmas won’t be quite so blue

And I’m gonna shop too much and dance in the snow
Drink just enough to let us go

Christmas isn’t canceled, just you
