Kelly Osbourne can now add her name to the slew of celebrities who’ve officially received their second round of the COVID-19 vaccine. On Friday, the daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne published a post revealing she got the dose.

In the caption, she wrote, “She got #vaccinated!!!! Bring on that alien DNA,” alongside several emojis. She did not reveal which vaccine she received.

Recently, Osbourne made headlines when she opened up about her struggles with drugs and alcohol.  According to Osbourne, her journey to sobriety hasn’t been an easy one. In April, the Fashion Police alum revealed that she had relapsed after nearly four years of sobriety.

On Wednesday, she got candid about he experience during her appearance on Facebook Watch’s Red Table Talk. “There’s so much irony in this last relapse for me because I made it all the way through the pandemic, I made it all the way through,” she told the show’s hosts.

Kelly Osbourne Comes Clean in New Interview

“I was alone, sitting by a pool, and waiting for somebody to come have a meeting with me and I saw this woman and her husband had a glass of champagne and it looked really nice,” explained 36-year-old Osbourne. “I was like ‘Oh I can do that too.’ And then the next day, I had two glasses. And then the day after that it was bottles.”

When the hosts asked about when she realized she needed to stop again, Osbourne recalled a conversation with her boyfriend.

“I was at my boyfriend’s house, and I was s— faced on his couch eating pizza, and he looked over at me and I felt the way he looked at me,” she recalled. After that point, Osbourne says she felt his disappointment and realized she needed to change in that moment.

During the same interview, she also opened up about her struggles with painkillers. Osbourne says that taking a powerful painkiller after tonsillitis surgery as a teen was the impetus that led to her addiction. “They ended up having to give me some crazy surgery, and then after that, they gave me Vicodin, and that was all I needed,” she said.

At the time, Osbourne was also struggling with self-esteem issues. As a result, she turned to the prescription painkiller as a way to number her pain. Eventually, it led her to heroin. Once she got caught buying the dangerous substance, she landed in rehab.

Now, Osbourne is yet again on a sober journey. After her recent relapse, she is utilizing the 12 Step program and attending daily therapy. Osbourne confessed, “It’s a battle for me every single day. It’s never, ever going to get easy.”
