Kevin Costner and Modern West will release a new video for their song “Heavy Like The Rain,” teasing fans with a clip.

The group, fronted by Costner, announced the video on social media on Thursday evening. They are encouraging fans to sign up via text to get an early preview of the song.

“The #HeavyLikeTheRain Lyric Video is coming out on Monday,” Costner tweets. “But if you’re signed up for the texts you will be getting an early preview of it today. Sign up today by texting +1 (310) 564-0506.”

“And I’m so tired trying to find a way,” Costner sings in the video. “But trouble keeps falling. Heavy Like the Rain.”

Costner Talks Song, Video

In a tweet from this summer, Costner says the song takes inspiration from John Dutton, his Yellowstone character. He compares the lyrics to “pouring a glass of whiskey.”

“#HeavyLikeTheRain takes a look at how John Dutton must feel when he pours himself that glass of whiskey at night,” the band tweets. The tweet includes a 30-second clip of the song.

The American country band was founded by Costner, according to its website. He began a worldwide tour with the band in 2007, which included international shows. The band has also performed at NASCAR events including races at Daytona International Speedway and Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

The band put out its first album, Untold Truths, in late 2008. The album rose to number 61 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart, according to Billboard.

The band put out their second album, Turn It On, in 2010. The band went on tour in Europe to support the album. Their third album, From Where I Stand, came out in 2011.

Costner also plays guitar for the band in addition to his front man duties.
