Long-time rap and rock artist Kid Rock and well-known supporter of Donald Trump, took a light jab at Lady Gaga Tuesday. Why?
To mock her for the camo attire she wore earlier in the week while endorsing the POTUS’ opponent in the 2020 presidential election, Joe Biden.
Unsurprisingly, election-day Twitter reacted how you’d think. Of course, some cheered Kid Rock. Others were pro Lady Gaga.
Here’s the back story.
Lady Gaga Endorses Biden in Camo Outfit
Lady Gaga, a fashionista who loves the avant-garde, posted a video on Twitter to endorse Joe Biden. She was dressed in camo to say, “I’m voting for America.” Monday, she endorsed Joe Biden and joined the former vice president to bolster his campaign.
Was she going for the rural vote? Or was she mocking them?
Social media pushed back against the rock star, believing she was making fun of a redneck stereotype. After all, she was leaning against a truck and drinking a beer. In the video, she asked her fans to vote. She said she specifically was speaking to her fans who live in battleground states.
“And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote,” Lady Gaga said.
Of course, Kid Rock is a fan of Donald Trump. He’s also performed on the campaign trail in support of the president.
Further, in September, he hosted an outdoor rally in Michigan. Rock was joined by Donald Trump Jr. as well as campaign senior adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former Fox News personality.
Twitter Responds
How did Twitter react to Kid Rock’s trolling of Lady Gaga?
Some supported him. Others posted photos of themselves wearing camo. Meanwhile, some folks chided Kid Rock and noted that Biden had better celebrity endorsers.
