Whether she needed the money or not, Kirstie Alley just became millions of dollars richer thanks to the sale of a property she owned on the West Coast.
That property was her home in Los Feliz, according to The New York Post. The famous actress, who appeared on the wildly popular television show “Cheers,” as well as such hit movies as “Look Who’s Talking” and “For Richer or Poorer,” had lived in that home for two decades.
The California property reportedly sold for $7.8 million. The now 70-year-old actress purchased the home in 2000. At that time, she paid $3 million for the property.
The article described the former home of Kirstie Alley as a “Mediterranean villa-inspired mansion.”
It reportedly includes seven bathrooms and six bedrooms. It is also described as having “plenty of full pops of color.”
Kirstie Alley’s Former Residence Included a Spa, Heated Swimming Pool, a Greenhouse, and Much More
The former home of Kirstie Alley also has almost 7,000 square feet. The Los Feliz home also has a courtyard, patio with Spanish ceramic tiles, a heated swimming pool, a greenhouse, and Victorian murals. There are also grottoes, a turtle pond, and a spa on site. The home has hardwood floors, a library, a kitchen with marble countertops, and wood-burning fireplaces that feature ornate carvings.
The residence also gives those inside a chance to view the beautiful Canyon. The mansion also reportedly sits on one acre of property in the famous California community.
Famous architect Armand Monaco built Kirstie Alley’s former home in Los Feliz. He built the home for Victor Hugo Aleidis – a famous restaurant owner in Los Angeles. He owned his popular Victor Hugo restaurant during the 1920s and 1930s.
Judging by the description, it’s clear that whoever purchased this Los Feliz home is a very lucky person indeed.
As to where Kirstie Alley will now reside is not known, according to The New York Post. She reportedly owns several properties in Clearwater, Florida. Alley is a Scientologist and that is the city where the Church of Scientology is based.
The article speculates that the actress might be following other celebrities who have chosen to leave California. These other celebrities have reportedly left the state for various reasons. For example, KISS rocker Gene Simmons has moved out of the state. He said he moved because of the wildfires and high taxes in California. Also, billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly moved out of the state. Musk chose to make a home in Texas afterward.
Kirstie Alley celebrated her 70th birthday in January 2021. She was born on Jan. 12, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. In addition to her Emmy award-winning role on “Cheers,” Alley also won another Emmy for her work in the 1994 television film “David’s Mother.”
