Looks like Beverly Hills is losing a resident. Gene Simmons has reportedly sold his mansion in the upscale LA County neighborhood. The KISS bassist has let the home go for $16 million. Over the years, Simmons has been known as a man who isn’t afraid to market memorabilia and make a quick dollar. However, he fell short as far as price is concerned.

While the housing market is a little wacky right now, that didn’t help Simmons on his home sale. Originally, the famous rocker put the home up for $22 million. However, that failed to attract any buyers. After some renovations, it was put back on the market in March for $25 million. Despite the renovations, he still had to take much less than the asking price.

Don’t feel too bad for Simmons, though. Selling any two-acre home for millions and millions of dollars can’t be too bad. When you realize that he originally bought the home back in 1986 for just $1.33 million, there isn’t much sympathy for the KISS superstar. I have a feeling he will be just fine.

The home is 16,000-square-feet with 7 bedrooms, features a full-size tennis court, a 60-foot waterslide, and enough parking for almost three dozen cars. Max Nobel of Nobel Development Group purchased the home according to TMZ and he has plans to remodel the home even further. Finally, after promising to leave California, the rocker has sold his home. Now, he will find a new place to call home.

KISS, Gene Simmons Battle Health Issues

While the KISS guys are still out playing shows and touring, things have recently hit some bumps in the road. Unfortunately, the band was hit with a couple of cases of COVID-19. The first, came when Paul Stanley became ill. The band canceled their show and shared the news about his health.

Gene Simmons broke the news to TMZ about the health of his bandmate. “It is true that Pual caught COVID because this Delta variant is very catchy. Please send him your best wishes.”

He also shared that Stanley was indeed vaccinated. “He is going to be great because he got vaccinated. He’s going to be fine. The nature of this vaccine is that it protects you from going and having tubes down your throat and possibly dying, okay?”

As for Simmons, his own battle with COVID-19 forced him to postpone his first-ever art exhibit. While that show was scheduled for October 14th, it is now going to be the 21st. This is due to the fact KISS had to reschedule shows and his own battle with the virus. Hopefully, the band avoids any more setbacks along the way. For the most part, they seem to be healthy and ready to go again.
