It’s not easy to get anything past a fan of Law & Order: Organized Crime. That rang true once again on Friday afternoon as fans of the show debated one of the storylines in the show.

For those at home who don’t know, Law & Order: Organized Crime is a spin-off of the long-running series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU). In total, it is the seventh series in the Law & Order franchise. The shows Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, the same role he played in SVU.

One sharp Reddit user by the name of u/TylerJohnson10946 made a post on Friday pointing out a confusing scene in a recent episode. The title of the post is, “Sooo question about Wagner’s kid (spoiler for last night’s episode).

“So the kid goes ‘hey I just wanted to say…’ And then the place blows up. But Stabler never reacts to this, never checks on the kid (when he definitely watching him be near that explosion), and then there’s a shot of him on the ground. Was there a throwaway line I missed saying that he’s dead? Why did Elliot not react to him in danger at all? Even when he’s shaving at the end and thinking of all the shit he’s done while a UC, he doesn’t think about that guy’s son who was in danger. I’m confused on if that kid will be coming back down the line.”

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Fans Respond to Reddit Post

Evidently, there are many fans of Law & Order: Organized Crime that are also confused about this situation, too.

“I am confused about this too,” one fan admitted. “They show a shot of the kid on the ground dead and everyone is just ignoring him. And that’s just it? The end of the storyline for him? I know he wasn’t the most interesting of plotlines and honestly one more they could have left without because it really went nowhere.”

However, another fan came to the defense of Elliot Stabler.

“I think Elliot reacted the best he could,” they said. “Police procedure seems to be to proceed with caution, so running up to the kid would’ve probably not been his first thought. And good thing, because the building exploded.”

And finally, a third fan on Reddit believes that there is more of this storyline that’s yet to come.

“I don’t think it’s the end of the storyline. I’m sure there will be a trial for the KO, and it’ll probably come up then. He was supposed to be on a flight to Florida and all of the sudden he’s back at the gym? That’s not gonna sit right with Elliot. I’m sure it’ll come up again eventually. And if it doesn’t then it’ll be anticlimactic.”
