‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Fans Are Absolutely Loving This Character

by Jonathan Howard

Leave it to Law & Order: Organized Crime fans to fall in love with a new character and then find out everything about the actor behind them. That’s what has happened with Vinnie Jones the actor that plays Albi.

One user on Reddit got so excited after the first story arc of the season that they had to give Jones some props on the message board site. As an actor with a history of playing bad guys, he has the look and the style down. When he puts it together on screen he is able to bring characters like Albi to life.

“Can we just give it up for VINNIE JONES?!!!! (Albi),” the post title reads.

“My gosh, what a performance! I knew absolutely nothing about this actor. It turns out he’s got a long list of credits playing various bad guys of one sort of another and prior to that he was a professional footballer for 15 years!” The user said. “He even had quite a run as a singer/entertainer on X Factor UK!” Then they added a link to an old Craig Ferguson interview from 2008.

That’s right, the actor had a past life as not just an entertainer and singer on TV, but as a professional footballer (soccer player). A 15-year career is no joke in any professional sport. That takes dedication and talent to keep a career going that long. He even played for Chelsea s well as Wimbledon and Leeds United as a midfielder.

Some Law & Order: Organized Crime fans might recognize the actor from his past movies. He was featured in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as well as Gone in 60 Seconds, and played Juggernaut in X-Men: The Last Stand. He has made appearances on Elementary as well as Arrow, too.

‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Teases Stabler and Bernie Growth

Right now, the Stabler family is having to stick together. Eli was running into trouble after his grandmother moved in with them. He found himself falling into drugs and other troubles. That might continue this season. As Bernie Stabler sticks around, Law & Order: Organized Crime is going to have a bit of tension in the apartment.

If Detective Stabler is going to take care of his mother, then he is going to have to juggle a lot of different responsibilities. However, showrunner Ilene Chaiken is teasing a little growth in that relationship to ease viewers’ minds.

“Well, she certainly is for the moment [living with Stabler]. They’re going to grapple with it and figure out what makes sense. And if after all this time and a lot of water under the bridge, Bernie can actually become a part of Elliot’s life and family as she never was before.”

Now that would be something Law & Order: Organized Crime fans would love to see.
