The buzz around “Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 2 is palpable. Over the past few weeks, the show has done nothing but announce new additions to the cast and drop awesome promo footage from the upcoming season. Fortunately for us and “Law & Order” fans everywhere, this promotional content has given us a sneak peek at some of the new characters on the show. Specifically, an Albanian gangster named Albi played by none other than Vinnie Jones.
We got our first look at the character when Vinnie Jones posted his own video on Instagram. The Albi Briscu actor affected his best Albanian gangster voice and urged fans to “make sure that you watch the show. Because there will be some serious repercussions.”
But with the video from the official NBC “Law & Order” Instagram account dropping today, we got our first look at the real deal.
Elliot Stabler actor Chris Meloni discussed the Albanian aspect of Season 2.
“My character, Detective Stabler, will be going undercover inside of an Albanian gang. Vinnie Jones plays a captain in the mob,” Meloni says as the video cuts to a gangster punching Stabler in the stomach. Jones’ character stands over him.
“If you are with us, you are with us,” Jones’ character Albi Briscu says.
‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 2 Addition Vinnie Jones Teases a Potential Sequel to Classic Movie
If you “Law & Order: Organized Crimes” out there aren’t familiar with Vinnie Jones or his work in Guy Ritchie’s 2000 classic crime film “Snatch,” then pay attention. If you find yourself with some free time between now and the September 23 premiere of Season 2, it’s a must-watch.
Should you enjoy it, you may be in luck. Even though it has been more than 20 years, Vinnie Jones talked about how willing he’d be to take part in a sequel.
“I’d love to do Snatch 2. Especially in America, they say, ‘Are we gonna see Snatch 2?’ A few years ago there was a rumor about ‘Lock, Stock,’ but I think worldwide Snatch would be the one to do. I’d love to get the boys back for that one. I think it would be enormous. I think it would be an out-and-out smash. It would be an absolute blockbuster before it was even shown. You never know with Guy [Ritchie], you know what I mean? [Jason Statham] and Guy just did a movie together. I mean, who knows?” Jones told LADBible in August.
While we wait however many years it’ll take for that to happen, there’s another title to help tide you over until “Law & Order: Organized Crime” starts. “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels” is another classic Guy Ritchie crime flick. It also happens to feature Vinnie Jones.
