Could Elliot Stabler be dealing with a traitor on Law & Order: Organized Crime?
The most recent trailer for next week’s episode certainly wants us to think that, since it used the term double-crossed as a bomb blows. Of course, it could be a nifty head fake by the Law & Order: Organized Crime editors who created the video tease. So who knows.
Take a look at the clip and get back with us on the other side for more traitor analysis.
Did you notice that Stabler (Christopher Meloni) was dressed in going-to-court clothes in the opening of this Law & Order: Organized episode clip? He’s certainly not dressed as his undercover persona, Eddie Wagner.
“We’re almost where we need to be to bring them down, Stabler said, referring to the Albanian mob being run by Jon Kosta.
Stabler continues: “They’re suspicious and looking for Reggie.”
Reggie is Wagner’s friend when he’s undercover. But Kosta ordered Reggie to kill Teddy Garcia, who is running for governor. Garcia gave a stump speech and called out the Albanians by name, blaming them for sex trafficking. Kosta saw the speech and declared a blood feud.
As Stabler raced to protect Garcia, a very intoxicated Reggie drove a delivery truck to the candidate’s house. A frantic Garcia finally got his wife to pick up her phone. She was at their house. But she put her husband on a brief hold as she answered the door for a delivery. It was Reggie, who shot her in the stomach, then left her to die on the porch.
NYPD Arrested Reggie Last Week On ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime.’ Will He Give Up Kosta?
At the end of the Law & Order: Organized Crime episode, NYPD took Reggie into custody. Stabler was standing far way, so Reggie never saw him.
And from the video, we can assume the detectives are trying to get Reggie to give up the goods on Kosta. Reggie is the nephew of Albi Briscu, who is Kosta’s main lieutenant.
Stabler, in the video, then says “there’s just one more card we need to play.” It appears Stabler played the mother card. So will Reggie’s mom convince her son to testify against the mob? Or does he stay silent and accept all the punishment for murder? We know Kosta is sadistic when it comes to disloyalty.
But where does the double-cross come in for Law & Order: Organized Crime? At the end of the clip, you can hear Bell, Stabler’s partner, call for additional units. She and Stabler are outside somewhere, probably on a stakeout or waiting for a bust. But whatever they’re watching explodes.
The next new episode is Nov. 4. That means it’s sweeps month. And we know the action will get more frantic as if it’s possible to come in even more hot than these past few weeks.
Meloni posted a photo gallery to his Instagram page, Thursday. He was wearing his NYPD badge around his neck and sporting a bullet-proof vest. But the photos were mostly fun. Law & Order: Organized Crime co-stars Lolita Davidovich (Futera) and Bell (Danielle Mone Truitt) also were with him.
