Lately, it seems like the Law & Order: SVU star, Mariska Hargitay, has had her head in the clouds. And she snapped some great photos of it. While it might not be wise to be looking skyward all the time with a major foot injury, Hargitay can’t keep her eyes off the full moon these past two nights, and we can’t blame her.
Since putting a boot back on her foot, Hargitay probably has to enjoy more passive activities these days. After slipping in the rain following a film premiere, the Law & Order: SVU star sustained a hairline fracture in one ankle and a broken knee on the other. Even now, it seems like Hargitay never had the chance to fully recover. However, with the brace safely back on her leg, perhaps the crime drama star will take it a bit easier.
Her past few Instagram posts seem to demonstrate a more relaxed lifestyle. Yesterday, Hargitay posted a photo of a burning orange “Aquarius moon.” Today she posted another hauntingly beautiful snapshot of the night sky. The bright, white moon casts a reflection on the dark water below as well as the surrounding clouds. Everything has an eerie, rust-colored glow that almost feels ominous. If we didn’t know any better, we’d think she stole the snapshot from the cover of a Stephen King novel.
‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Also Enjoys Daytime Skies
Besides her magical midnight photos, Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay also shared a shot of a bright blue sky earlier today. In front of the cotton candy-blue sky, a falcon kite (at least, it looks like a falcon) soars high into the wind. Two long tassels hang off of each wing, fluttering in the air. Hargitay captioned the photo with a slew of hashtags, “#FlyingHigh #KiteLife #HappySunday #TheSkyIsTheLimit #Soar #WindBeneathMyWings #WingingIt.”
One follower mimicked her hashtag puns, commenting “You are the wind beneath my wings … errrr kite. #windbeneathmywings”.
While it could be that Hargitay needed a change from the haunting night skies, it’s likely she’s just enjoying all aspects of her beach vacation. Yesterday, the Law & Order: SVU star posted a cute selfie on a plush chair. Dressed in all pink, she relaxed beside a boardwalk that likely led to a sandy shoreline.
With all that Hargitay has going on in her life, she definitely deserved this vacation. Between her career on the Law & Order: SVU set, her nonprofit organization and appearances on Dick Wolf’s new series, Organized Crime, Hargitay could some R&R. Hopefully, some time in the sun (or under the moon) and a few cocktails will not only help the star rest up for her big roles but also give her ankle time to heal.
