‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Mariska Hargitay ‘Sees’ Melissa McCarthy in Black-and-White Sunglasses Photo

“Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay was stylin’ and profilin’ in a black-and-white photo where she “sees” actress Melissa McCarthy.

Are you a bit confused by this description? OK, here’s an Instagram post from Hargitay herself, wearing sunglasses. They apparently are helping her get a good view of McCarthy.

The “Law & Order: SVU” star didn’t elaborate in the post more about why she is “seeing” McCarthy. It might be just good fun being had between two stars.

Right now, Hargitay is getting ready to see “Law & Order: SVU” as it returns to NBC’s Thursday night lineup. Her show will air at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central. Following her show, “Law & Order: Organized Crime” starring her old partner Christopher Meloni comes back for its second season at 10 p.m. Eastern, 9 p.m. Central.

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Star Pleased Fans Talk With Her About Issues

For Hargitay, “Law & Order: SVU” has been one way for fans to talk with her about issues they see on the show.

Olivia Benson, Hargitay’s character, offers solid information, especially for female survivors of sexual assault.

“When I walk down the street and people say, ‘I knew what to do because of watching your show,'” the “Law & Order: SVU” star told “The Hollywood Reporter” in 2019.

She said show watchers told her things like, “I knew not to shower. I reported immediately. I took myself to the hospital instead of saying forget it, forget this ever happened.'”

That’s one of the things Hargitay is most proud of around her involvement with “Law & Order: SVU” for 22 seasons.

Hargitay has been the cornerstone of that show from its first season. As we mentioned earlier, Meloni played Eliot Stabler on the show before he left it. Ultimately, Meloni stepped back into the role of Stabler for “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”

Philosophical Perspectives, Ice-T Style, Keep Hargitay, Crew On Toes

While Stabler came back, nobody has been by Benson’s and Hargitay’s side like Ice-T.

Ice-T plays Sergeant “Fin” Tutuola, but he’s known on the set as the “Philosopher King.”

“He goes on his philosopher rants and everyone gathers around because the way he breaks everything down is clear and simple,” Hargitay said in an interview with TV Insider from 2018. “He takes all the complex and whiny stuff out of it, like, ‘Here’s the deal.’ And in 19 years, I’ve never seen him in a bad mood or raise his voice.”

What say you, Ice-T?

“I think the best thing about our show is that everybody on our show that we work with is so wonderful,” Ice-T said on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in 2018. “It’s easy. You know, I love Mariska, we get along. Just the work environment, it’s so fun.”
