Law & Order: SVU stars are getting a crossover!

Mariska Hargitay teased fans with an SVU and Organized Crime crossover that we’ve all been waiting for. She posted a video to Instagram on August 12 with a very special guest.

“Hey Chris, How ya doing?” she began. “Listen, sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you but I’ve been shooting. I’ve been so busy and to really drip the mic on that last one which was pretty crazy with my mother-in-law.”

Excuse us, “my mother-in-law”? What does this mean?

But listen, part of the reason that I can’t get back to you is because I’m shooting my own show. You don’t even know what I’m doing. Our shows are so separate,” she said before Danielle Moné Truitt appeared in the shot. “You wouldn’t recognize any of the guest stars on our show,” Hargitay joked.

“Hi Chris!” Truitt concluded.

Two days ago, Meloni posted a similar Instagram video. He was also whispering and it featured his character’s mother-in-law, played by Ellen Burstyn.

Fans were sent into a frenzy with confirmation that there will be another crossover. Additionally, fans were more concerned about Hargitay using the words “my mother-in-law.” The comments section was flooded with Will Stabler and Benson be an item and get married? Fans are more than ready for the next season.
