Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T celebrated his daughter Chanel’s sixth birthday!
On Sunday, November 28, his baby girl celebrated her birthday. He shared a photo of the daddy-daughter dup on his Instagram account. At just 6-years-old Chanel has become an Instagram star herself, following in the footsteps of her multi-talented father.
“Today is @babychanelnicole ‘s 6th Birthday! I’m sure alotta you remember the day she was born… Time flies… Happy Birthday Baby” he wrote.
This past year, Ice-T and wife Coco faced criticism after they let their daughter get fake acrylic nails. They were a french tip manicure but some chimed in on social media to disagree with their parenting choice.
“Rule 1: Do not pay attention to anything anyone says on the Internet,” he told the co-hosts on The View. “Worry about the people who walk up to you and say things in your real life. Those are the people you should be concerned with. The internet is the world. It’s the world talking.”
“Everybody parents differently,” the Law & Order: SVU actor continued. “Every house has its own constitution. We’re doing okay. Our baby’s okay.”
As Ice-T noted, “every cloud has a silver lining.” Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he was able to spend more time with his daughter than ever before.
“It’s been great,” he told Hollywood Life last year of the quality time. “I would have never been able to spend as much time with Chanel. And this year, I’ve gotten to be home more than ever. It’s great for all of us. None of us has gotten COVID yet, although Coco’s father had it, and it’s been hitting people all around us. We live in a little bubble anyway, so we’re very comfortable just staying home watching TV. I play my video games, go to SVU. I’m COVID tested every day.”

“I think the best thing about our show is that everybody on our show that we work with is so wonderful. It’s easy. You know, I love Mariska. We get along. Just the work environment is so fun,” Ice-T said. He added that unlike her character of Olivia Benson, she’s a hoot to be around with her sense of humor.
“People throw the word family around but after 20 years, it’s true,” Hargitay added. She shared that over the past twenty years, she has never seen Ice-T come to work in a bad mood or be ungrateful.
“[He is] always ready to work. Always ready. He’s never complained,” she shared.
