‘Law & Order: SVU’ star Ice-T took to Twitter on Monday to show off sweet pictures of his 5-year-old daughter, Chanel.
The re-tweeted post from his wife Coco features snaps of Chanel posing in a beautiful blue dress surrounded by cherry blossoms. “All that really matters to me nowadays,” Ice-T captions the tweet.
Ice-T’s fans react to the adorable post by commenting, “She’s so beautiful and sweet!!! She’s growing up too fast. I know she’s the apple of daddy’s ee and she loves you so much!!! I know you love your baby with your whole heart. She’ll always be daddy’s little girl! You’re a very lucky man and you have a beautiful family.”
Ice-T Talks Spending More Time With Chanel During Pandemic In Recent Interview
In a recent interview with HollywoodLife, Ice-T discusses the importance of spending time with Chanel during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I mean, every cloud has a silver lining,” he explains. “It’s been great. I would have never been able to spend as much time with Chanel. And this year, I’ve gotten to be home more than ever. It’s great for all of us.”
Also discussing the virus, Ice-T says, “None of us have gotten COVID yet, although Coco’s father had it, and it’s been hitting people all around us. We live in a little bubble anyway, so we’re very comfortable just staying home, watching TV. I play my video games, go to SVU. I’m COVID tested every day.”
Ice-T previously opened up about the effects of the pandemic during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last year. During the interview, Ice-T talks about his family’s experience with COVID-19. He also reveals that he knew people who lost their lives to the virus. “It’s easy to say, ‘Oh I can’t catch it,’ but once you know people,” the actor states. ‘I know about eight people that have actually passed. So, I mean, I don’t need much more proof than that to know I don’t want play with it, you know?
Ice-T Prepares For Upcoming Season of ‘Law & Order: SVU’
Ice-T is currently preparing for Law & Order: SVU’s upcoming season, which will premiere this fall. The actor has been on the show since 2000 as Detective Odafin Tutuola.
Ice-T recently posed in a behind-the-scene pic for the upcoming season. The show’s Instagram account posted the image with the caption “Lights, Camera, Action!”
Ice-T admits in a recent interview that when he was approached for a role on SVU, he had some reservations. “I didn’t want to do it at the time,” he explains. During that time he was living in LA trying to create a digital record label. “I got the call to do the show, and I said, ‘Ah, nah, I can’t go to New York. They wanted me for four episodes, and my boys were like, ‘Go Ice, you love New York. We’re not gonna steal any money from you – we’re not making any money yet.
Ice-T adds, “I went, and four episodes turned into 21 years. It’s been a beautiful thing. It was something I never expected to be this stable and long-running. It’s such a great to work on.”
