Ice-T likes dropping what he has called “Cold Facts” on social media over the years. The “Law & Order: SVU” star has done it once again.

On Friday, Ice-T, who plays “Fin” on the long-running NBC police drama, decided to share a little wisdom for the masses to read. This time, the “Law & Order” SVU” star used his Instagram account to lay it all down for fans to take in and think about.

This is not the first, nor will it be the last, time that the rapper-turned-actor will share his “Cold Facts” with the world.

Ice-T has been a part of “Law & Order: SVU” since 2000, playing Detective/Sergeant Odafin Tutuola. These days, you’ll see him in a lot of scenes with lead star Mariska Hargitay, who plays Sergeant Olivia Benson.

Don’t look for Ice-T to be going anywhere except back on stage. He didn’t forget about his musical roots and has gone back on stage performing already this year. Still, it’s a good bet that you can find Ice-T on Thursday nights playing “Fin” on “Law & Order” SVU.”

‘Law & Order: SVU’ Stars Hargitay, Ice-T Get Along Very Well On Set

When you work with people so closely for a long time, things either will go smoothly or combust. But “Law & Order: SVU” stars Hargitay and Ice-T seem to get along quite well.

On the set, Ice-T actually likes to keep the peace. People who work with him on the NBC show call him the “Philosopher King.”

“He goes on his philosopher rants and everyone gathers around because the way he breaks everything down is clear and simple,” Hargitay said in an interview with TV Insider from 2018. “He takes all the complex and whiny stuff out of it, like, ‘Here’s the deal.’ And in 19 years, I’ve never seen him in a bad mood or raise his voice.”

What do you have to say, Ice-T, about your co-star?

“I think the best thing about our show is that everybody on our show that we work with is so wonderful,” Ice-T said on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in 2018. “It’s easy. You know, I love Mariska, we get along. Just the work environment, it’s so fun. So, it doesn’t seem like 20 years, it just seems like you’re going to work and doing something you love to do.”

The secret here, Outsider readers, is to find something you love to do and time just flies away.

But Ice-T didn’t start out to be an actor. As we noted, Ice-T, whose birth name is Tracy Lauren Morrow, got his start in the rap world as co-founder of heavy-metal band “Body Count.” His big movie break came in “New Jack City” in 1991.
