In a heart-wrenching two-part tweet, Lisa Marie Presley is wishing her late son, Benjamin Presley, a happy birthday in her first public post since his passing.
No parent should every have to bury their child. Tragedy struck the descendants of Elvis Presley earlier this fall when his grandson, Benjamin Presley, unexpectedly passed away. The son of Lisa Marie Presley, Benjamin was just 27 years old.
A mother, however, never stops thinking of her son. Now, in her first public post since his death, Lisa Marie is mourning her son on what would’ve been his 28th birthday:
My beautiful beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven. My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day. I will never be the same. Please wait for me my love..
….and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley. I know you would want that. Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much to good for this world.

Tragic Death of Benjamin Presley
In an earlier report from Outsider.com, more details on his tragic passing came to light.
“The reports showed that 27-year-old Keough had both alcohol and cocaine in his system at the time of his death. The suicide came after an argument with his girlfriend, Diana Pinto, which was caught on surveillance video,” Outsider’s Halle Ames reports.
“He was found inside his family’s mansion in LA by Pinto, who heard the gunshot around 6 a.m. He locked himself in the bathroom, but she picked the lock with a bobby pin. Once inside, she called the police, but Keough was already dead.”
Many who struggle with depression and suicidal thoughts also suffer from substance abuse. Tragically for the Presley family, this combination ultimately claimed the young man’s life.
Presley’s tweet comes with a touching photo of her late son from a previous birthday. Benjamin, who bore a striking resemblance to his legendary grandfather, was buried at Graceland earlier this October.
The official Facebook page for Elvis Presley’s Graceland home in Memphis, TN broke the news:
“Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland with his family including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, great-grandmother, Gladys Presley, great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley,” their post reads.
Today would’ve been Benjamin’s 28th birthday.
